30 Weeks

Jason and I went to the MF doctor on Friday for our 30 week checkup.  They checked little man's growth and my fluid level.  Both are doing ,much better.  He is now in the 50% percentile and weighs 3.5 lbs.  The bright spots in his bowel were lighter and the doctor seems to think that he swallowed blood early in pregnancy which is nothing to be worried about.  As a precaution, they tested me for toxoplasomsis and another virus that can be harmful and cause the bright spots.  The doctor did not seem to think that either was really feasible, but we would rather be on the safe side.

I go to my regular OB on March 3rd for my 30 week check up with him.  I am hoping that we will get a delivery date.  We go back to the MF doctor on March 17th for another checkup and a fetal echo (precautionary), so wish me luck on drinking a gallon of water everyday to keep the fluid level up and him happy growing.

Also, Jason got little man's room painted and I put up his bedding.  Once I get the curtains from mom and the pictures hung, I will post pictures.  Jaosn did an awesome job picking out the color and painting.  I am so happy with how it turned out!!!

Thank You

I recevied a package on Saturday from Mathew's Mom.  In the letter, she explained that she visited the UCSF ICN while Addy was there for treatment.  She has followed our blog and has always thought back to Addy.  I do not know who she is other than she is Mathew's Mom.  I want to thank you for the blankie and outfit for our little man, but also the amazing letter that you sent.  You will never know how much it means to us to know that our little girl made a difference in someone's life.  I hope that God finds you well and give many hugs and kisses to your CDH miracle!!!

Nursery Update

I decided to test my artistic ability and paint pictures for the nursery.  I am actually surprised at how well they turned out!

I was actually so proud of Jason; he actually began painting the nursery while I was at class last night! Hopefully, he will continue the trend. I am getting a little nervous since we are 29 weeks today and only have 77 days left until the little man is fully baked!!

It is snowing

It is snowing.  It has been snowing for the past hour straight with no end in sight.  They are predicting 3-5 inches accumulation.  Here are some pictures of what it looks like now.

28 Week Check up

We went to see the maternal fetal medicine doctor for our monthly check up and sonogram. They said that the little one looks good (approximate weight is 2 lbs 5oz), but they are going to monitor him closely because his abdomen is measuring a little small and he had a few bright spots in his intestines.  If the intestines are not clear when we go back in two weeks, they are going to perform some tests to make sure there is no infection or other problem.

They did try to get some 4D pictures of the little man but he was not very cooperative.  He kept his arms and hands covering his face, but we did get a few that are worth sharing.

I also decided to post a picture of my tummy since I have really been lacking in that area.

Back in the Hospital

Dad went to his heart doctor today and the doctor put him back in the hospital due to the infection in his leg.  They are going to keep him in the hospital for a few days on IV antibiotics to clear up the infection and then they can go home to Greenville.

Nursery Bedding

I finally found bedding for the little man's room!  After looking at every baby store and online, I finally decided to go the custom bedding route.  I ordered it this morning; now I just have to wait 4-7 weeks for it to get here.  Here is a picture of what the bedding will look like!!!
