Nursery Bedding

I finally found bedding for the little man's room!  After looking at every baby store and online, I finally decided to go the custom bedding route.  I ordered it this morning; now I just have to wait 4-7 weeks for it to get here.  Here is a picture of what the bedding will look like!!!

The Nursery

I finally musterd up the courage to go through Addison's room last week to clean out and pack up all the girl stuff and make room for the arrival of the little man.  It was really hard to pack up all the hopes and dreams that I had for her into 3 plastic rubber maid bins.  I guess it really felt like reading the last chapter in her book.  I am really glad that it is complete and I can now focus on preparing for the little man, but it is hard to let go Addison.

24 weeks

Jason and I went last Thursday for our 24 week check up.  Little man is doing great and still healthy.  They checked his heart and just like everything else....it is perfect!!!  He is going to be a big boy.  His weight is already estimated at 1.5 lbs  and in the ultrasound pics, his profile looks alot like Addison's at 24 weeks.  I guess Jason marked this baby as well.

My mom and dad are staying with us unitl February 3, 2010 due to his heart surgery recovery.  It has been nice to have them both around, but it has made Jason and I appreciate our alone time.

Prayers

My dad is having heart surgery today at Emory.  He went back to the OR around 10am and is still back there being worked on.. It has been a really long day but we are hoping that the end is in site.  We did recevie good news.  The surgeons did not have to reopen his chest or put him on the heart lung bypass machine, but were instead able to go in through the side of his chest through his ribs which will make for a much better recovery.  I was hoping that this year would be a year of good things.  I guess that catching his heart problem before it was fatal is a blessing, but the surgery was very unexpected.

Christmas

Jason, Bear, Bailey and I made the trip to Greenville on December 23rd for Christmas.  It was so nice to be home and see all of our family.  As always our trip was too short and went by too quickly.  Santa was very good to all of us this year especially my niece, Ann Brilye.  I guess Stanley, the elf on the shelf, did not tell Santa all the bad things that he saw her doing this year.  All Jason and I could do this year was think that we should have had Addison there with us for all the festivities, but all the time remembering that she and God already sent us the best Christmas present ever .....A healty baby brother.

We are counting down the days unitl we get to meet this little guy!  He has gotten a lot more active and likes to practive his karate at 4am.  I guess that he is getting me ready for what is in store in 4 months.  We are trying to decide how to decorate his nursery and getting the house ready to put on the market in a few weeks.  We are hoping that it will sell and we can move into a house with a back yard for Bear, Bailey, and the baby.
